Conclusion:
|
Pregnancy is known to be a risk factor for Valsalva retinopathy and There is no evidence to indicate that there is a risk of recurrence following spontaneous vaginal delivery. Lab studies can be used to rule out predisposing risk factors, including diabetes, anemia, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, and other blood dyscrasias. The prognosis for patients with pure Valsalva retinopathy is generally good with observation alone. Vision usually returns to normal over a short period of time, from weeks to months.
