Purpose:
|
To evaluate the surgical outcome in terms of IOPcontrol and collagen implant trabecolectomy technique in patients will uncontrolled glaucoma who were reffered to ALZAHRA –Eye hospital zahedan fromseptember2013to jully 2014.

Methods:

In this clinical trail 20 eyes of 18 patient with POAG were studied .10 underwent collagen implant trabecolectomy and 10 eyes were treated will conventional trabecolectomy and the patient were followed for 6 month. Patients data such as v/a iop and anti glaucoma medication interaoperative and post operative complication and success rate were collected and statistically analyzed.

Results:
|
9 patients (50%)were male and 9 patient were female.six months after intervention mean iop in the collagen implant group was 15.60 and mean iop in the control group was 21.2 .the success rate was significant in the collagen implant group.

Conclusion:
|
Collagen implant trabecolectomy is a safe and effective drainage procedure for treating uncontrolled POAG.
